Theodore Roosevelt's Accomplishments In Conservation
Theodore accomplished many things during his presidency especially when it came to conservation. Theodore loved nature and wanted to protect and preserve the land for many generations to follow. By creating the U.S Forest Service he was able to do so. Then not long after he managed to create four national game preserves, five national parks, seven conservation conferences and commissions, eighteen national monuments, fifty-one federal bird reservations, and one hundred and fifty national forests. All of which preserved land, protected animals, and created revenue for the United States. Roosevelt also accomplished saving the wildlife's habitat such as bison, wolves, grizzly bears, and more. These animals are endangered and would be extinct if he did not try and save their habitat, now these animals are are growing in population gradually. Roosevelt's two homes are part of the NPS which are Theodore Roosevelt Birthplace National Historic Site (NY) and Sagamore Hill National Historic Site(NY), and one in Washington D.C, Theodore Roosevelt Island.

Roosevelt’s Maltese Cross Cabin:
Maltese Cross Cabin was his special hideaway where he lead the “strenuous life” that Roosevelt especially enjoyed and loved. This cabin was considered a “mansion” in its day with wood floors and three separate rooms including a; kitchen, living room and bedroom. Roosevelt was a prolific writer, which he spent many hours in his cabin writing about his life and memories in the badlands.
